I have done some serious thinking.

I am not going to be updating this blog anymore.

Buuuut…

I have a new blog!

However, this blog has a wider range (almost limitless) of things I will be posting about

I will still be talking about beauty and fashion

but I will be adding recipes and resturant reviews.. because I love food

and will be adding crafts for kids.. because I am a nanny studying to become a teacher

and more about my personal life, which I am most excited about!

Mail Call Monday

What’s In My Makeup Bag

The past few months I was keeping my everyday makeup that I was using regularly in a makeup bag, which then extended to 2 makeup bags.  This was causing clutter and I wanted to start incorporating my other makeup that was being loved, so I decided to clean it out and take pictures to show you the items I’ve been using over the past couple months!

 

Haul: NYX Cosmetics

A month or so ago, NYX had their 12 year anniversary sale where almost all products were $1.20.  Because this is such a great deal, maneuvering around the website was as slow as a can be, and nearly impossible.  I was able to add products to my cart, but was never able to check out after 2+ hours of trying (yes, I am ashamed).  Many other people had the same problems, or worse, so NYX came out with a 50% off code plus free shipping to those who were not able to make a purchase.  I took advantage of this and here is what I got:

Have You Tried: Texturizing Beach Waves Sprays/Creams

I need your help!  I am currently on a mission for the best cream or spray for the perfect texturized beach wavy hair.   I have short hair but it is naturally wavy.  However, not the cute wavy by any means.  It gets frizzy and has waves at the bottom but the top half is straight.  Attractive? Definitely not.  So, I want you to tell me what your favorite texturizing spray is that creates beachy waves without heat!  I have listed some products people have recommended and I  listed them because I want to hear your thoughts!  Also,  if you have any other favorites that are not listed please let me know!  Also, any techniques that work best for you would be appreciated as well!

Tuesday Tresses: Kicks’ New Haircut

Kicks was a few months over due for a grooming appointment.  However, last Tuesday I took him to get groomed and he came out looking much better, thinner, and younger!  His hair was getting way too long in the front and he could not see.  Brian loved saying he looked like a mountain man.  His hair was also tangled because he refuses to let me brush it for more than 2.5 seconds.  I had the groomers give him the typical Yorkie facial trimming and framing while cutting him about 1″-1.5″ on the body.  I think it is all a really  good length for him and he looks so adorable.  He even had a date with another small female dog the other day, and I think he was into him .

Tuesday Tip: Quick Drying Nail Polish

If you don’t have time to wait a full twenty, or more minutes for your nails to dry, then I have a perfect tip for you for faster drying nail polish!  And let’s be honest, who has that kind of time anyway (not me!)?  Once you are done applying the polish, let it sit and begin to harden for about 2 or 3 minutes.  After, place them in a bowl of ice water for about 3 additional minutes.  The water will get cold after the prolonged time, but once the three minutes have passed your nails will be completely dry!  I think it is completely worth it!

Haute or Hideous

Last week Blake Lively attended the “Green Lantern” premier wearing a white floral sheer dress. So I want to know:  loving it or hating it?  What do you think about the floral detail?  Accessory overload or just right?  What about the sheer bottom half of the dress?  Haute or hideous?
I love her accessories, maybe too much all at once, but I do love them individually.  I also absolutely love her hair.  So, I wanted to love her dress but the bottom half just ruins it for me.  If you cut if off, I would love the dress so much more!
